Victorian Climate Change Green Paper

The Victorian Government has released a Climate Change Green Paper - the next step in our comprehensive response to climate change.

The Green Paper outlines in detail the risks facing our state and the likely impacts of the Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme, and also proposes ways Victoria can reduce greenhouse gas emissions, adapt to the impacts of climate change and become a leading low carbon economy.

The release of the Green Paper was followed by a four-month public consultation program seeking feedback from the Victorian community. This program has now been completed with the views expressed by participants available in
Victoria's response to the Green Paper

The information and ideas put forward during the public consultation program, along with those provided through formal and informal submissions, will help inform the development of the Climate Change White Paper - the comprehensive climate change strategy for Victoria out to 2020.
