Place-based climate change adaptation resources
Guidance materials for place-based adaptation
This suite of guidance material is designed to support government, business and community in planning and delivering effective place-based adaptation to address the impacts of climate change. It is a useful resource for any group or organisation that may be leading, facilitating or supporting the development of place-based climate change adaptation strategies, responses and actions.
The six regional adaptation guidance notes produced in partnership with the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) outline a range of best practice tools, methods and approaches that support climate change adaptation planning at place, including visioning, working effectively with a range of stakeholders and identifying key adaptation actions.
The three policy research briefs produced by Griffith University explore best practice approaches to manage and overcome the barriers to implementing adaptation actions; outline the determinants of adaptive capacity and critical policy elements for regional adaptation; and the social and cultural barriers to transformative adaptation success.
